Clinics

Respiratory Clinic

Our Practice Nurse is fully trained in the management of respiratory disease and runs regular asthma and COPD clinics. Appointments can be made by a member of the reception team.

Diabetic Clinic

Diabetic clinics are run by our treatment room nurse Kate White & Dr David McCarthy. Please ask at reception for details on making an appointment.

Cervical Smears

The surgery is keen to promote prevention of women’s diseases. Smears are normally carried out by our practice nurse, but can also be done by the doctors. Recent guideline changes recommend that women between the ages of 25 to 49 should have a cervical smear carried out every three years and women aged 50 to 65 should have a cervical smear carried out every five years - it is a quick and painless procedure but a very important part of your health care.

Family Planning

If you have any questions regarding family planning please make an appointment with the doctor. We provide guidance on available methods of contraception, and assist you with finding the best choice for you. Dr Coyle inserts and removes Nexplanon contraceptive Implant at both surgeries in the practice. Please make an appointment with her if you are interested in this option. Bearing in mind the high incidence of teenage pregnancy, we particularly welcome inquiries from younger ladies.

Minor Surgery

Dr Coyle carries out a range of procedures. Our Physio also offers joints injections. If you feel you would benefit from any of these services please contact the surgery to make an appointment.

Anti-coagulation Clinic

The practice nurse will provide further details of this clinic on request.

Immunisations

Baby clinics are held every alternate Thursday at the surgery. (Times and dates may differ due to Coronavirus)

Childhood immunisations are performed by our Practice Nurse. A Doctor will also be in attendance for advice and child development assessment. Each child should have a red Child Health Record Folder, detailing the recommended immunisation schedules. We are committed to support the recommended schedule of immunisations, including MMR. The Practice Nurse will need parental consent before giving any vaccines.
