Appointments

The surgery operates an appointment system

Willow medical Practice offers face to face appointments with our GPs and supporting clinical team. We have a number of health practitioners now working at the practice, including; a Pharmacist, Physiotherapist and Mental Health Professional. So our team can book you in with the correct person, they are required to ask all patients what your call is regarding.

Our practice nurse is routinely available for appointments during the following times: 9.00am to 12.30pm and 2.00pm to 4.30pm daily.

Occasionally the surgery may need to close for an afternoon for training or essential maintenance; this will be notified to patients on our website, answer messages and notifications within the surgery in advance of these closure days.

Urgent Appointments

If you become urgently unwell and need to see a doctor, please contact the surgery at 9.00am each day. Children that become urgently unwell will always be seen.

Home Visits

Patients are expected to attend the surgery for consultation wherever possible. If you are too unwell to come to the surgery you must phone the surgery by 11.00am to request a home visit. The receptionist will ask for details that will be passed to the doctor to help them assess the urgency of the case.

There is no “right” to demand a home visit.

Please remember that six patients may be seen at the surgery in the time that it takes for one home visit.

Cancelling Appointments

If you no longer need an appointment that you have made, we ask you to please cancel it as soon as possible. Missed appointments severely impact the surgery each week and reduce the efficiency of our practice. You can cancel an appointment in person, by phone calling 02890 611 411 or online.
